The furniture in my room is white and the walls are a sort of light green-turquoise. I have a white duvet, then I wonder what color sheets should I get that look good. If I get white or another color?

My favorite color is red, so all my walls an everything is red in my room, my furniture is black and i have zebra stuff. So basically my room is red, black, white, and zebra. People are telling me that red is not the best color for a bedroom because it sets your mood as frustration, anger, and stressful. I heard a shade of green was the best because it relaxes you. Any suggestions?

We’re having some problems with a bathroom re-do. The new sinks and toilet are white, the floor a mid-tone ceramic tile (light beige to chocolate brown in color) The counter top also has dark tones – it’s a mixture of colors from light cream to beige to black. Selecting a wall color was a nightmare – After buying 3 neutral colors that were WRONG, we ended up with a mid-tone muted purple that is pleasing with both the floor and the counter top, but still darker than I really wanted.

We still have to stain the cabinet and mirror frame, but we won’t have the luxury of correcting a bad color choice so easily as we did with the wall color. What color furniture would look good with purple walls? Should we go light? Darker? Someone suggested pickling them white. . . that may be perfect but I’m having trouble envisioning this. To you talented decorators out there who are merciful with the color challenged. . . . we need help!

We are buying this exact home soon and we are going to keep the color for the living room walls. I was leaning toward a cream color but not entirely sure. Also, the kitchen appliances will changed to stainless steel. For my bedroom I will be painting the walls a chocolate color, so what color furniture would compliment that nicely? the top one is not black, it is mahagonney, which is a dark but definitely not black wood.

My kitchen is painted a Tangerine Orange and it has a tiger theme (black curtains, brown and black furniture). It is connected to my living room. I am wanting to paint my living room and I am trying to find a color that wont be too much since orange is already bold enough. I love color and I don’t want a white living room. What color would offer a nice transition from orange kitchen?

I am trying to add more color to my usaully earth-tone home. It is the master bedroom and I want it to be calming with a hint of “Mexican” Latin feel.
